The great battle.

In 1287, Marco Polo went with Kublai Khan to have a battle against Khans uncle (Nayan). Nayan had an army of 300,000 troops. But this didn't scare Khan because he had an army of 460,000. They watched Nayans city from above. Though Nayan's army was outnumbered, they formed stratigiclly.A horn was blown, which began the battle. They started by firing arrows at eachother. As they got closer, they were using their swords. It was the most fearful battle. Many of the men were on horse back. As the war went on, Khan's army overtook Nayan's army so they fled and gave up. Nayan and a few other soldiers were taken by Khan's side and kept as prisoners. They still tried, but they got defeated. Once again, Khan gained power.
